About Us

Ambassador Community Garden Sunflower

Welcome to the Ambassador Community Garden!  We are a community initiative that provides a space for residents and community members to grow and share fresh food, participate in gardening and other artistic activities as well as learning about food sustainability.

In the Summer of 2024 a seed of hope was planted on the disused tennis court at 325 Nepean Hwy, Frankston, formally known as The Ambassador Hotel.  Residents and owners had cleared away the old tennis turf and engaged local artists to help create a botanical themed mural on the back wall.  The artists, residents and owners created 3 walls reflecting the landscape around us; a mural with lily pads, waves and flowers.  The murals, which also spilled their colour onto the concrete created a new canvas for the Community Garden to grow.  Residents and owners contributed by growing seeds, building planter boxes, sourcing compost bins and sourcing tables and chairs.

The Ambassador Community Garden aims to be a shared space where people come together to grow their own fruit and vegetables and learn about gardening.  We aim to increase food security and increase local access to fresh fruit and vegetables.

We would love other community members to join us!  Email us to get involved!
